My Father was in the Navy, his brother was a Gunner on a plane, they both came back alive. My Mother's uncle did not come back, they never found anything more than his dog tags. Abe was in during 1952-1957. My one brother was in during the Vietnam war, he came back safe. Abe lost a nephew over there. Our Granddaughter spent 6 months in Iraq, she was with a group from Fort Bliss Texas, she drove the trucks that carried the missiles. She came back in one piece, but still having mental problems from the whole thing. War like cancer is a nasty thing, wish there was a cure for both.
