This public land area is just a couple miles down the road from us. We started hiking here early this spring, even before all the snow was gone. It's a great hike and beautiful scenery. As the season progresses we see something new each day. 
Badger and Turbo posed pretty good for this.
They love to go for a walk.
Today's trip: We found an abandoned eagle's nest.
A friendly snake.
A caterpillars nest.
And of course, the wild flowers.

The snake gives me the willies! What kind of snake was it? And that caterpillar nest? Wow! I've not seen that before. They look like good sized caterpillars to me. They'll turn into to monster moths or something.
